    Top 5 Reasons to Use a Discount Dental and Medical Plan If You Don’t Have Dental Or Health Insurance

    Discount dental and medical programs are becoming better known each day. Mainly due to the five reasons we’ve listed below. When these plans first hit the market, consumers were expectantly leery of them because, as Americans, we’re trained to think in “insurance” terms. We couldn’t't wrap our minds around “discount” plans. The more we learned about them the more attractive they began to look. Especially if…

    1. You can’t qualify for traditional dental or health insurance.

    This one should be a given but you’d be amazed how many of us refuse to come to reality and admit we can’t qualify for coverage. We apply to company after company and either get declined or offered a policy with so many exclusions we may as well not be covered anyway.

    2. Acceptance is guaranteed.

    One of the beauties of discount dental and medical plans is everyone gets accepted. The companies administering the plans are usually not health organizations therefore they do not offer health insurance policies. Simply discounts on dental and/or medical services.

    3. You can’t afford traditional dental or health insurance.

    Here’s another personal shortcoming that we must own up to. If you can’t afford it, you can’t afford it. Don’t go without assistance because you’re trying to hold out for the “real deal”. Traditional insurance plans are expensive and premiums are increasing by 20% each year.

    4. Something is better than nothing.

    Today more and more people are losing their health insurance because they simply can’t pay the premiums any longer. If you have a fairly healthy family, at very least you should have a medical discount card in your wallet or purse. You’ll only use it when you need it. The plan will include your entire household for a fraction of the cost of a traditional plan and when you do need it you’ll get your services at a discounted rate. Win-win.

    5. No waiting period

    Most discount dental and medical plan organizations will allow you to use your benefit cards within 2-3 days from the day you sign up. This means if you have a procedure that you needed done yesterday you can easily have it done the day after tomorrow at a discounted rate. That’s winning.

    Times are changing. Traditional health insurance companies are pricing their plans so they will soon be out of reach for the average American family while Discount Medical Program Organizations are getting better by the minute.     Are there any exclusions and/or limitations with AmeriPlan Dental?

    Most everyone who’s ever talked with an AmeriPlan Independent Business Owner (IBO) about the AmeriPlan dental discount program has heard them, without hesitation say, “Oh, no! There are no limits or exclusions everything is covered!” This urks me a little.  Firts of all, AmeriPlan doesn’t “cover” anything.  AmeriPlan is NOT insurance and doesn’t reimburse you or the dentist anything. Secondly, there are no limitations on your visits or your age but there definately are a few limitations and exclusion.  This is one of the main reasons you need to make sure you speak and work with an Ameriplan IBO that knows what they’re talking about.

    Not all the time, but most, the IBO’s that have been around for a while have either been “scolded” by corporate at one time or another for using the wrong lingo, promising what we can do, or just flat out lying to people just to get their business or have figured out that telling people the “truth” so they know what they’re getting will keep them on the books for years to come versus months… or worse… days.

    There I go ranting again. Back to the question ”Are there any exclusions and/or limitations with the AmeriPlan Dental program. In a word. Yes…

    Using AmeriPlan Health for cancer treatment

    Today I got a call that really touched my heart.  I’ve been selling AmeriPlan dental and health programs for a while so I knew this day would come.  I got a call from my friend Maxine who just found out her next door neighbor has cancer.

    Maxine found out when she came home from work and saw her neighbor on the porch crying bent over in pain.  After talking with her for a moment she realized what the problem was.  Her neighbor, let’s call her Stacy, had been diagnosed with cancer, had no health insurance, and couldn’t afford the $800/mo in medications the doctor prescribed her, so she just wasn’t taking them… and she only went to see the doctor when she could scrape up enough money to do so.  She’s filed for help but that will take several months to get assistance.  She needed help now.

    Maxine called and left a message for me to call back as soon as possible.  I did.

    I talked to Stacy. I could hear her smiling and hope in her voice as I explained to her that AmeriPlan Health is not health insurance (which she couldn’t possibly get now, anyway) but it will make it affordable for you to see the doctor and through the AmeriPlan Patient Advocacy Program, possibly get your prescription costs down to around $100/mo.  Again this is not insurance, you’ll still have to pay the reduced fees.  Do you think this will help you?  She cried.  Yes.  I about cried too.  I heard Maxine in the background telling her “See, It’s going to be ok.”

    Even Chiropractors use AmeriPlan Dental

    Here’s a cool story.  There’s a guy that I run into quite often at my favorite cafe here in town.  He’s usually eating with a different person every time. Is he a fellow networker?  Is he a salesman?  Who does he work for?He looks and acts very professional.

    This time, I decided to say hi and ask him what he does.  It turned out he’s a chiropractor!  We had a great conversation.  When he found out I market AmeriPlan Dental he said, “That’s a great plan.  I use AmeriPlan Dental when I go to the dentist.”

    How cool.  Here’s a guy who can definitely afford any dental plan out there but chooses to get discounted rates through AmeriPlan Dental and just pay cash when he needs it.

    After a few minutes I, apologizing for interrupting his lunch, got his card and thanked him for his time.  It’s always great to hear unsolicited validation for the service you’re providing people.  I love it.
